Welcome to CostGuard

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CostGuard mobile application and related services (the "Service"). By using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using CostGuard, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 years old to use our Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

CostGuard is a subscription management application that helps you:

  • •Track and manage recurring subscriptions
  • •Connect bank accounts to automatically detect charges
  • •Analyze spending patterns and categories
  • •Receive renewal reminders and notifications

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • •Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • •Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • •Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • •Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Subscription Plans

Free Plan

The free version of CostGuard provides basic subscription tracking features with limited functionality.

Pro Active Subscription

Pro Active is a paid subscription that provides unlimited access to all features. Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually based on your selected plan.

Billing & Renewals

Pro Active subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can manage your subscription through your app store account settings.

5. Cancellation & Refunds

You may cancel your Pro Active subscription at any time through your app store account settings. Upon cancellation:

  • •You will retain access until the end of your current billing period
  • •No partial refunds are provided for unused time
  • •Your account will revert to the free plan automatically

Refund requests are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play Store per their respective refund policies.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • •Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • •Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
  • •Interfere with or disrupt the Service's operation
  • •Reverse engineer or decompile any part of the Service
  • •Use automated systems to access the Service

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COSTGUARD SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF THE SERVICE.

CostGuard is a subscription tracking tool and does not provide financial, accounting, or legal advice. We are not responsible for any financial decisions you make based on information provided by the Service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice in the app or sending an email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
